ConnectWise PSA + NinjaOne MCP ticket triage

How can an MSP use ConnectWise PSA and NinjaOne with MCP?

An authorized AI client can read a ConnectWise PSA ticket, identify the correct customer and configuration context, retrieve relevant NinjaOne device details through separately granted tools, and produce a triage summary. Ticket or device changes should remain separate, permissioned actions with confirmation where required.

Recommended read-first workflow

  1. Select the customer workspace before reading either system.
  2. Retrieve the ticket and only the fields needed for triage.
  3. Resolve the related organization and device; do not trust a customer name alone as tenant identity.
  4. Retrieve only the device facts needed for triage, such as status or recent alerts, when the permitted NinjaOne tools support them.
  5. Summarize the findings, uncertainties, and the next technician decision.
  6. Request a separate authorized action before updating the ticket or device.

Guardrails that matter

  • ConnectWise PSA and NinjaOne credentials remain separately owned and revocable.
  • Both calls are rechecked against the same selected customer workspace.
  • The workflow must not claim a device match when identifiers are ambiguous.
  • Available fields depend on provider authorization, plan, connector contract, and tool grants.
