Referral Program Terms
Terms for referring independent businesses to Stackyapper.
Counsel review draft. The referral pilot is limited to private testing and is not open for general participation.
These terms govern the referral program offered by Symao Systems LLC, the company providing the Stackyapper product. They supplement the Terms of Service and Billing and Cancellation Policy, and control referral-program matters if they conflict. The invitation displayed in Stackyapper and these program rules describe the available referral offer. Review them before creating or sharing a link.
1. Independent businesses
A referred business creates and administers its own workspace, contracts directly with Symao Systems LLC, and pays Stackyapper subscription charges directly through its checkout. A referral grants the referrer no workspace access, management responsibility, resale authority, agency, or ownership rights in the referred business or its relationship with Stackyapper. Stackyapper may communicate directly with the referred business about its account and services. Managed customer workspaces and their upstream billing use the separate approved Partner program. Referrals do not change protections for existing managed customers or authorize use of their protected information.
2. Eligibility and trial
The program is available only to businesses invited by Stackyapper with an active, paid monthly Standard or Business subscription. An owner must create the referral link. A referred business must have a new, independent workspace created within the preceding 30 days, have no existing Stackyapper subscription, and redeem the invitation in its Standard checkout. Managed customer workspaces, self-referrals, and businesses sharing workspace members with the referrer do not qualify. A business may claim only one referral invitation.
An eligible referral invitation provides a 14-day Standard trial. Checkout shows the trial end date, subscription price, payment authorization, and cancellation terms before confirmation. The invitation does not grant a Business trial. Sharing a link or starting a trial does not itself earn a reward.
3. Automatic reward
A referral earns a reward after the referred business pays two distinct, full-price monthly subscription renewal invoices for Standard or Business. Trial invoices, prorations, discounted months, failed payments, and duplicate payments for the same billing period do not qualify. Refunded, credited, or disputed payments do not qualify for a new reward. Eligibility is checked automatically. Once earned, rewards are applied automatically following billing events, subject to the subscription and discount conditions below. Interrupted or delayed attempts are retried through subsequent billing events and daily recovery.
For each qualifying referral, Stackyapper applies a one-time subscription credit capped at the eligible monthly base-plan price ($99 for Standard or $199 for Business) when applied to one base-plan invoice on the referrer’s active Standard or Business subscription. Separate workspace fees, add-ons, usage charges, and other products are outside the reward. A later plan change does not increase the credit. Tax treatment follows the invoice and applicable law. The reward cannot be combined with an existing customer or subscription discount. It remains queued and is retried automatically until the conflicting discount ends or is removed and the subscription is eligible. The reward has no cash value, is not transferable, and does not entitle anyone to a cash refund or payment. The referrer must maintain an eligible active subscription when the reward is applied. Rewards are applied one at a time and only once per qualifying referred business.
The referrer receives no entitlement to the referred business’s billing details, customer data, or activity. Stackyapper may provide only the status needed to administer a reward, subject to its Privacy Policy.
4. Honest sharing and abuse
Share links only through lawful, welcome communications. Do not send spam, make misleading claims, impersonate Stackyapper, promise unapproved pricing or rewards, create duplicate or artificial businesses, manipulate payments, or bypass eligibility rules. Follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
When recommending Stackyapper with a referral link, clearly disclose the potential benefit near the recommendation or link, for example: “I may receive a subscription credit if you subscribe through this link.” Do not conceal the incentive or present an incentivized recommendation as independent of it.
Stackyapper may pause participation or withhold a reward while investigating a reasonable concern, and decline a reward obtained through fraud, abuse, or a material violation of these terms. Stackyapper will provide a reason and an opportunity to address a mistaken determination where reasonably practicable. This does not authorize unrelated charges or changes to the referred business’s subscription.
5. Program changes and questions
Stackyapper may change or end the program for future referrals. Changes will be stated with the offer and apply prospectively to new referrals. Ending the program does not shorten an activated trial or revoke an earned reward. Valid referrals that completed checkout before the change remain eligible for the advertised trial and reward, subject to the eligibility and abuse rules above. Unredeemed links and pending invitations may stop working when the program closes. Participation does not create a continuing right to new referral offers or commissions.
